For YWAM Leaders

Our goal is that this to be a time of strengthening of our relationships, standing with each other in prayer, and supporting the unique vision in each location, but also, to use this as an opportunity to grow in our leadership. There will be quality times of worship with ample opportunity for the gifts of the Spirit, as well as several thematic breakouts in the afternoons. This is the primary ACT gathering for the western USA and Canada and we are calling it the YWAM Leadership Forum.

We've invited Alejandro Rodriguez and Dr. Ron Jensen to join us as outside leaders/coaches, but you have my word the conference will not be speaker-driven. The insights of these two will serve primarily to stimulate further discussion and prayer, but we want our relational connection to be the primary undergirding of this forum and we are structuring the schedule to reflect that. None of this has been set in stone because we wanted to get your feedback first, so please free to shoot me a quick email or text and I'll pass your input on to Randy, Sean and the others who are helping to put this together.

Breakouts will involve Dr. Ron and Aljendro as well as several other key leaders addressing a wide variety of leadership topics such as: Resourcing your vision, Strength Finders, Conflict resolution and other strategic leadership topics.

Plan on arriving in San Diego the afternoon of May 14th but don't be late because we're starting with a "Mexican Fiesta" at 5PM. We will then meet Tuesday through Thursday with the departure scheduled for Friday morning, May 18th, after breakfast. We are keeping the price as low as possible so that the total will come in at $199 per single (four per room) or $219 per couple (two per room). This will cover the conference fee, pick-up and return to San Diego International Airport (SAN), and all food and housing.

The gathering is being designed primarily for leaders, but we want to leave the final decision on who can come to the leadership team at each Operating Location. We really want to include young and up and coming leaders in your ministry, so if you feel someone fits into that category please invite them.
Would you please make this a priority? I can't underscore the importance of this enough, especially if the spiritual warfare has been intense in your own life and ministry recently - I know it has been for Linda and me. This past year has been one of the most challenging in our whole ministry experience, which is all the more reason we're making it a priority to be with you guys in May. This is the way God wants us to move forward as a YWAM family. He tells us in his Word not neglect our gathering together (Hebrews 10:25), and this is one of the only times we have to meet with our entire YWAM tribe in this part of the world. So please, make it a priority!

Lastly, I wanted to introduce you to Rob Derksen who will be working alongside of me in my role as ACT convener. Rob did his DTS in Denver 23 years ago and is a close friend of mine. He is serving currently with YWAM Tyler where he lives with his wife and three children, and I'm grateful he accepted my invitation to come alongside of me as an administrative assistant. Rob might contact you at some point as he will be working to help pull things together for the gathering as well. If you want to shoot him an email at any point please feel free to do so at rjderksen(at)ywamtyler(dot)org.

On behalf of the rest of the ACT elders we look forward to getting your feedback.
